Blepharoplasty Case 1
A 65 year old woman states "My eyelids make me look tired." This is a very common complaint. The patient said her eyelids are heavy and wanted surgical correction. During her evaluation, it became evident that although there was excess eyelid skin, her eyebrows had fallen over time. In addition to removing a small amount of skin in her upper eyelid, her eyebrows were elevated into a more aesthetic and youthful position.

This 55 year old woman was concerned with the excessive "bags" under her eyes. The root cause of her complaint was not only the excess eyelid skin and fat, but also a deficiency in fullness of her cheeks. Her upper and lower eyelids were treated as well as placement of cheek implants.

Similar to Case 3, this 62 year old female was given a well defined lid crease under sedation. Although some bruising is expected, Dr. Diepenbrock uses a radiofrequency device rather than a traditional scalpel to makes all of the incisions. This device helps to control bleeding, make precise incisions, and reduces post-operative bruising and swelling.

The full brow with a well defined eyelid crease is a sign of youth and beauty. The upper eyelid blepharoplasty opens up the eyes. A small amount of fillers in the lower eyelid helps to camouflage bags and a tired look.
